Feeling adventurous and not sure where to take your singles holiday? Hit up Cancun, a notorious popular vacation spot located in what is known as The Mexican Caribbean, in the region of Quintana Roo, Mexico.

If there was ever a tailor-made destination holiday for single males, more so the party animal or the man who appreciates erotic resorts, this would be it. The highlights include stunning ‘Caribbean-esque’ white beaches with sweeping views of lulling azure waters you can stare at for hours, and a bubbly nightlife with steamy discotheques and clubs, Mexico-style. An energetic vibe that is addictive in the day, and a party-all-night atmosphere that can be accused of being the same.

And things do get steamy in Cancun: from hot temperatures to hot dishes to the red-hot mamacitas who are readily available in, er, adult hotels peppered across this Caribbean paradise. If there was a word to describe this city, ‘extreme’ would be it: from the laid-back side of things (think Mexican massages and tantras) to the more sensual (think nudist resorts filled with racy Latina females).

What else could a man ask for on a singles vacation? I’m not sure about you, but this is definitely Cloud 9.

Dating Women in Cancun

For single guys looking for some nice female company, Cancun is the make-out mecca. I mean, the resort city is chocked full of bedazing bikini-clad females who are perpetually in this live-in-the-moment mood. And they are yours for the taking. For real. The women of Cancun are very friendly and always looking forward to socializing. Blame them not; Mexican guys are suckers for white skin, and thus the girls tend to feel neglected. Just the way you want them.

The good news is that at night, it’s easy peasy to find a threesome in the club that’s not getting much attention. And the next good news is that it’s easy to pick them up and wake up next to one or two come morning. That in mind, flirt shamelessly, and you will be rewarded.

For those looking for a relationship and aren’t here for months to sow the seeds, it’s best to begin your search on online Mexican dating sites. It will be much easier to hit it off for the long-term knowing what both of you are in for.

Best Places to meet Women in Cancun

There are different areas and scenarios you can meet women in the Glistening City, right from the moment you touch down at the airport and encounter cute-looking girls waiting for your baggage.

To narrow it down for you though, here are some of the top spots.

  • Nightlife

To sum up the nightlife in Cancun, let’s just say this is one of the reasons behind its reputation and why so many people are keen to party here. The city has maintained its tag as one of the top party spots on the planet, and there are accompanying benefits: a wild atmosphere, crazy nights, and young, beautiful eager females.

While hangout joints are pretty much scattered across the the city, the best haunts are grouped in a district called the Party Center: a neon-lit boulevard furnished with bars and clubs where parties extend well into daybreak.

For best fun and girls, the world-renowned Coco Bongo, Dady’O, The City, La Vaquita (The Little Cow), and Congo nightclubs are a must. While you’re at it, it would be a crime to bypass Club Med. You will be surprised what you find.

Party hotels to catch the best fun include Carlos & Charlie’s, La Destileria, Senor Frog’s, and of course, the Hard Rock Cafe, Cancun.

  • Beaches

Sun bathing in Cancun is a cherished activity. And for boys on vacation, that presents a perfect window of opportunity to meet the sexy ladies of Mexico who you mostly see on those bubblegum Hip Hop clips.

Every hotel located in the ‘Hotel Zone’ in Cancun has a beach, and there’s even a Beach Recovery Trust to ensure these renowned sprawling white sands are always in top-top condition. That means you will find beach everywhere you go. Striking beach to be exact.

Some though, are not your ordinary beaches. While they are a natural splendor on their own, the icing on the cake for a singles holiday is to pay visit to the topless beaches: El Dorado Royale, Grand Oasis Playa, and Golden Parnassus. And that’s not all. There are naked beaches too, although these are more of expensive resorts: the Desire Pearl and Temptation Resort, are great examples.

  • Online Dating

Don’t wait until you land to begin your girl search online, unless you are here for a couple of weeks, not few days. That said, it’s best practice to start your search early on, and as ever, the online landscape is one of the best when it comes to maximizing your chances of meeting foreign girls, Mexican or otherwise. There are plenty of dedicated sites where you’ll most likely find a few girls ‘customized’ to your taste. Get a couple of numbers and actively keep contact (online at first), and let them know of your plans to get together when you’re in town.

Fun Things to Do in Cancun

While girls and nightlife are enough reason to sway many single travelers to Cancun, there is much more to it than that actually.

  • Beaches

Cancun and beaches will always go together, they are inseparable.

So again, hit the beach. Whether for some downtime, meditation, sun bathing, swimming, or girls, you will be literally spoilt for choice.

  • Scuba Diving/Snorkelling

If diving is part of the focus of your holiday to Cancun, you will rarely find better locations to dive off the reef, hands down.

Dive shops are everywhere, and the experiences in Cancun are made more memorable by  historic caves and other natural wonders like nurse sharks and whale sharks, not to mention the cenote (natural pools) some as old they were in use during the Mayan civilization. Epic.

For anyone who has never dove or snorkeled before, make it a point of trying your hand (or body) in it. The only downside to this is that your heart will never fully settle because you’ll rarely find a more fascinating experience. But hey, perfect excuse for more trips down here, huh senor?

  • Day Trips

And what’s a vacation to Cancun without a day trip. There are so many must-visits but let’s narrow them to ensure you sample the best of what this natural wonder has to offer during the short time you’re here.

Sample the Playa del Carmen which should be double kill for you: enjoy a day trip and get to experience one of the world’s top dive destinations.

Chichen Itza: This is one of those sights that evokes feelings of mortality. The archaeological site is a huge city built by the ancient Mayans, and rest assured you’ll never look at life the same once you pay it a visit and the memory lingers, history lover or not.

Tulum: Another archaeological site where stands the ruins of what was once a great ancient Mayan city overlooking the ocean. Beyond the confines of the city is a spectacular view of jade-green waters and pristine sands, garnished with sun, blue skies and soft breeze that gently massages over the face.

Must Try Food in Cancun

Mexico is renowned for its zesty cuisine, and some must-have dishes include:

  • Tacos

You may think you know what tacos taste like until you sample the original Mexican version(s). There are different variations to these little tortilla bundles loaded with a blend of meats, seafood and vegetables that are dipped in savory sauces before cooking after which they’re again piled with colorful, spicy toppings.

But one common factor is the unique taste reminiscent of Mexican flair that makes them so tasty and fun to gulp down, one chasing the other.

  • Caribbean Food at La Habichuela Sunset

There is a popular saying that you haven’t been to Cancun if you haven’t been to La Habichuela. It’s definitely not a place you want to answer ‘no’ to when asked if you sampled during your holiday in Cancun.

The strong Mayan culture ambiance aside, La Habichuela has one of those menus you would call complete, and an eye-grabbing, mouthwatering, finger-licking part of is its fancied Caribbean seafood dishes that switches the taste buds into a No-Holds-Barred mode.

  • Modern Mexican, especially Seafood at Julia Mia

Of course, it’s advisable to test what modern Mexican cuisine has to offer as well. For the best, most memorable taste in town, few — if any — would match Julia Mia, a new restaurant that has become a local favorite. Go right ahead and slot it in in your must-attends. Thank us later.

And given this is Mexico, the official Land of Tequila, well, you know what you need to do.

How to Get to Cancun

Unless you’re in the states of Texas, California, Arizona and New Mexico and don’t mind taking a long bus ride, the most convenient way of getting to Cancun is to fly in.

Cancun International Airport is the second-busiest in the country which means flights from North America and Latin America are scheduled on a frequent basis. Even Europe is well served given the popularity of the destination, and it’s easy to find some very economical charter flights. If you’re unlucky, commercial flight deals from multiple European carriers are always an option.

After landing, a cab should get you to your hotel. From there, getting around is extremely convenient on any given day, thanks to an established transport network to cater to visitors.

Don’t forget a search on Expedia which is guaranteed to help you find the best flight deals.

Some of the best hotels in the city are:

  • La Quinta Inns & Suites Cancun
  • Adhara Hacienda Cancun
  • Ambiance Suites
  • Oh! — The Urban Oasis

Finally…

If you’re young, single, with some cash to spare and in need of a quick getaway, then Cancun is the penultimate singles holiday spot.

The party scene is alive, and girls ready to mingle are not short of supply. But there’s a lot more to it than that, even for those looking for a break from all the partying. You can sail, you can swim, you can snorkel. You can dive, you can relax on the beach, you can enjoy gorgeous spas. You can get lost in art, learn history, and immerse yourself in architecture.
