Beaches are such a great place to hang out during a single boy’s holiday. But, the problem with super famous beaches is every man and his cousin is right there with you too.
Keen for a different experience? Forget about South Beach, Copacabana and Ibiza. If you’re single (and ready to mingle ;)), we’ve got 5 other unknown beaches that you’ve never heard of. (Ok may be you’ve heard of them but they seriously don’t get as much attention as they deserve!)
#1. White Beach, Boracay, Philippines

Tropical island Boracay, with its white sand beaches is South East Asia’s best kept secret beach.
Want to do nothing but lay on the beach with a beer or cocktail? Boracay is perfectly set up for all day lazing by the beach.
Want to make the most of a beach holiday with adventure sports? From scuba diving to kiteboarding, you can induldge your adventurous spirit without breaking the bank.
Want to party all night, every night? White Beach is famous for its all night beach parties with house music, fireworks, live bands, DJs and fire dancing.
Single Man Tip: Boracay is a popular girls getaway for Filipina women so if you’re interested in meeting a Filipino girl, this might be the perfect spot for it.
While lesser known amongst Western tourists, the island is also very popular with Chinese, Japanese and Korean tourists so you know if you’re into Asian women, this might just be your lucky holiday!
#2. Nissi Beach, Ayia Napa, Cyprus

The pearly arc of Nissi beach, dipping into the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean is the European beach holiday you’ve been dreaming of.
Nissi beach is suited for every kind of traveller. Chill out by the beach with food and drinks or jump into the waters on a jetski or a banana boat and get your adrenaline pumping. Getting hungry? Greek tavernas, serving the catch of the day, line the quiet streets behind the beach.
Nissi beach is giving Ibiza a run for its money with its pumping nightlife. Foam parties, bikini competitions, world renowned DJs and dance contests… the fun never stops!
Single Man Tip: The best time to visit is between May to October. Nissi beach’s infamous foam parties are held every day during these months! Groove to great music, down a few cocktails, lather yourself up in foam…and you’re all set to meet some hot European girls doing exactly the same thing!
#3. Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina, Brazil

Did you know Brazil’s Marvelous City, Rio de Janeiro, has a twin?
Balneário Camboriú, often referred to as miniature Rio, also has a miniature Christ the Redeemer statue known as Cristo Luz! While state capital, Florianopolis is well known amongst tourists for its nightlife; just 80km north, Balneário Camboriú is known as Brazil’s electronic music capital (and a practically unknown beach among foreigners!).
The central beaches are bordered by skyscrapers and are bustling with life. If you’re a surfer, you’ll feel right at home in Balneário Camboriú. The Unipraias Park is popular if you’re into hiking and climbing.
Catch the cable car for amazing ocean views and hop over to Larenjeiras for a drink at one of the many bars in the areas. And when you need a bite, tuck into a traditional gaucho style Brazilian barbecue.
Single Man Tip: As the e‑music capital, Balneário Camboriú also boasts of the two best night clubs in Brazil. In summer, this attracts plenty of hot Brazilian women from around the country but since it’s so close to the border, the town is also a popular party spot amongst Argentineans.
#4. Kendwa Beach, Zanzibar, Tanzania

A trip to Africa isn’t just about safaris. Zanzibar used to be Tanzania’s spice island but this East African island is now a tranquil coastal holiday spot. If you’re really keen on unknown beaches — expect to meet more locals here than sun baking tourists.
Kendwa boasts of the best swimming beach on the whole island. The area tends to attract a younger crowd, often backpackers and is also popular amongst kitesurfers.
Single Man Tip: Full moon parties at the Kendwa Rocks resort attract a lot of attention from international visitors. Head up to the northern coast of Zanzibar if you’re in the mood for a wild party and you’ll probably also end up meeting plenty of international women along the way.
#5. Gordon Beach, Tel Aviv, Israel

If you like Rio or Miami, you need to visit Tel Aviv. The Mediterranean shore of the city gives the city plenty of great beaches to boast about.
The comparisons to Miami and Rio are obvious when you see Tel Aviv’s posh restaurants, classy nightclubs and gorgeous, sun-kissed people. Tel Aviv is a city that loves the beach and loves to party.
If you don’t often hear Middle East and party in the same sentence,Gordon beach in Tel Aviv will change that for you. There are 16 beaches in the city but Gordon is easily the most popular. Locals and foreigners alike flock to Gordon beach in the summer for a tan and a party.
Single Man Tip: Tel Aviv is popular amongst tourists, with many choosing to stay around the area. If you’re keen to meet a foreign woman on your holidays, Gordon’s beach is your best bet.
Bonus: Mogren Beach, Beach Montenegro

Montenegro is no longer a no-go zone and Budva should be your number one reason to visit.
Did you know? Sylvester Stallone, Sophia Loren and plenty of other Hollywood superstars used to spend their summers at Budva before the war. Now that it’s safe again, it’s your turn!
Mogren is Budva’s most famous beach and is nestled between massive cliffs. With its mountain-meets-the-sea coastline, Budva is special. Warm, crystal sapphire blue ocean surround often secluded beaches — perfect for a relaxing day. There is a pretty decent party scene along the beach in the evenings too.
But if you want a good party, don’t miss out on the action in the Old Town. Mogren is just 500m from the Old Town so start at the beach and finish up big in town.
Single Man Tip: Budva is well-known in this part of the continent so women from Eastern Europe as well as Russia, flock to Budva when they’re in the mood to let their hair down. So you know what to do right?
